Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ program, announces on-campus Short Course exclusively for children – Basic Acting Workshop for Children at Triveni Kala Sangam Delhi.
Following are the details in this regard;
- Name of the Course: Basic Acting Workshop for Children
- Dates: 12-21 June 2025 (including Saturdays & Sundays)
- Timings: 09.30 am to 05.00 pm (lunch break from 12.30 pm to 01.30 pm)
- Age of Participants:
- (a) 08 years completed to 13 years running as on 01st June 2025 – Morning batch
- (b) 13 completed to 17 years running as on 01st June 2025 – Afternoon batch
- Timings:
- 09.30 am – 12.30 pm – Morning batch and
- 02.00 to 5.00 pm – Afternoon batch
- No. of participants: Up to 25 in Morning batch & Up to 25 in Afternoon batch. Course will not be conducted if there are less than 20 participants per batch.
- Educational Qualification: 03rd std. pass. In exceptional cases, 02nd std. may be considered
- Nationality: Indian
- Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction would be English and Hindi. Participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/ or Hindi as regards to reading, writing & speaking.
- Venue: Triveni Auditorium, Triveni Kala Sangam, 205, Tansen Marg, Todermal Road Area, Mandi House, Delhi, 110001
- Per Participant Course fee: Rs 10,000/-
Course fee is excluding breakfast, lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.
Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances. Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be refunded within 21 working days of the course commencement. Also, due to any reason, if the course is cancelled by FTII, course fee will be refunded.

- Due date & time: 12 May 2025, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.

The workshop has been designed to open up the creative aspects in terms of body, voice and craft keeping in mind the various aspects of the audio visual medium.
Using crafted exercises, theater games, activities and assignments the participants creative faculties would be shaped to be used in a performance and to develop confidence in common life situations also, improvisations and role play would help them develop personality traits that would have many practical applications.

Megh Pant is an Actor, Acting coach and has a teaching experience of 18 years, a graduate from the first screen acting batch of the new era in 2004 – 2006 from FTII. He wrote a research paper “Acting – in the cinematic environment” and has been continuously reaching and experimenting with the Sanford Meisner Acting Technique adapting it to the practical conditions of the Indian Audio Visual diaspora.
Currently, heading the Academic Research of Dramalay School of Acting and Theatre. He has designed short term and long term courses for many Institutions. A practitioner of the Sanford Meisner Technique, he has performed in over 20 films and numerous commercials (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3078280/). He is also a regular trainer and Acting Coach for advertisement produced by Equinox Films and has prepared Actors for roles on specific Scripts as part of the preparatory workshop. Prior to Dramalay he was the Director, Academic Coordination, at Indian Television Academy School of Performing Arts. He has been closely associated with his Alma Mater as visiting faculty at the Screen Acting Department of FTII. He also has a Degree of Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
