An internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam exponent, Smt. Jayalakshmi Eshwar is an excellent performer, choreographer, author and a teacher with more than five decades of experience. Her in-depth and meticulous training under the aegis and guiding vision of Late Smt. Rukmini Devi Arundale of Kalakshetra, Chennai has made her style innovative yet traditional, striking a balance between the traditional and contemporary interpretations.

She has extensively performed in India and overseas along with her group. She is the recipient of Senior Fellowship of Sangeet Natak Akademi and has received several awards from cultural organizations across the country and abroad. She has been closely associated with a NGO-SUNIYE for hearing impaired children and has presented many productions with them on stage and television.

She has enacted as the Tanjore dancer in G.V Iyer’s National Award Winning Kannada film ‘Hamsa Geethe,’ published 3 self-teaching books on Bharatnatyam dance form and has written the Bharatanatyam section in the NCERT publication, ‘Arts Education–a Resource Book for Teachers.’ She has released a unique ‘Card Game’ based on all the classical dance forms. She is an empanelled artist of ICCR (Outstanding) and aTop-graded artist of Doordarshan Kendra and was awarded “ACHARYA KALA BHARATHI” from Bharat Kalachar, Chennai.

She is also the Co-ordinator for Dance and Music Departments at Triveni Kala Sangam.

The classes are open for Children ( 7+ ) and Adults
