Presently Shri Kosal Kumar is Incharge of the Sculpture Department at Triveni Kala Sangam since 2020.

Mr. Kosal Kumar is a distinguished sculptor and educator, currently serving as the Incharge of the Sculpture Department at Triveni Kala Sangam since 2020. With a profound passion for the art of sculpture, Kosal Kumar has cultivated a remarkable career that seamlessly combines artistic excellence, teaching prowess, and a deep commitment to his craft.

In 2006, Kosal Kumar embarked on his educational journey by completing his Post-graduation in Sculpture from the prestigious College of Art in Delhi. This foundational experience not only honed his technical skills but also ignited his artistic vision, setting the stage for his subsequent accomplishments.

From 2010 to 2020, Mr. Kosal Kumar made significant contributions as an Assistant Professor at the College of Art, Delhi. His tenure there was marked by an unwavering dedication to his students' growth and development, as he imparted his knowledge, expertise, and creative insight. As an educator, he nurtured emerging talents, helping them realize their potential in the realm of sculpture.

In his current role as the Incharge of the Sculpture Department at Triveni Kala Sangam since 2020, Kosal Kumar continues to foster a nurturing environment for budding sculptors. His leadership and mentorship contribute to the enrichment of the artistic landscape, as he guides students in mastering the intricacies of sculptural artistry.

 

The Sculpture Department has classes twice a week as well ( Mon-Wed, Fri-Sat, Sat-Sun ) as well as once a week on Sundays. Please see the time-table below:

The class is open to all ( age group: 15 years and above). No past experience in the subject is required

  4. Please note that seats are on first-come-first basis. 

1. Is this a certificate course?

The course offered at the moment is not a certificate course. Certificate courses are in the planning for offline Sculpture, and may be offered soon.

2. What is the duration of the course?

There is no fixed duration to our Sculpture course at Triveni. Most courses at Triveni are structured to be self-paced and aimed at helping students develop their own voice in the chosen craft. This structure allows the student to thoroughly explore the medium and understand its nuances without the constraints of time.

3. Is there any minimum age group for this course?

The classes at Triveni are diverse, and have people from all age groups. However based on the technical difficulties, the course is best suited for:
Offline Sculpture Class : 15 years and above
Online Sculpture Class : 10 years and above

4. Does the fees include material cost? 

Offline Sculpture: Cost of Clay is included in the fees. Sculpture Tools are also provided in the class. Students are only required to bring their own aprons.

6. Can I take a break in between learning?

Yes, the design of the course is flexible and you can rejoin subject to availability of slots.

7. Do you provide materials?

Yes, all the materials are provided by Triveni.

8. Can I use the studio independently?

No ,none of the facilities can be used in the absence of the teacher.

9. Can I cover up for the classes that I have missed?

No, if a class is missed it cannot be covered up later.
