Triveni Kala Sangam in association with ARVIND GAUR presents "WEEKEND THEATRE CLASSES"

New Batch starting on 2nd March 2024

This is a Four-month Certificate Course with a Stage Performance. Classes will be held twice a week, on Saturdays & Sundays from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM (6 hours per week/8 classes per month).

Please note, in order to qualify and receive the certificate, one should have attended at least 4 months
with 75% attendance and should have been a part of the stage performance.

Basic craft of Street Plays
-Theatrical Games
- Indian and world drama introduction
- Introduction of literary work of contemporary playwrights of India
- Scene work
- Class room performance.
-Stage Drama: Text to performance

Arvind Gaur, an Indian theatre director, is known for his work in innovative, socially and politically relevant theatre. His plays deal with communalism, caste issues, feudalism, domestic violence, Crime of State, Politics of power, violence, injustice, social discrimination, marginalisation, and racism. Arvind is the leader of Asmita and is also an actor trainer, social activist and storyteller.
Arvind Gaur was the recipient of a research fellowship awarded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (India) (1997-98). He was on the guest faculty of Delhi University for the Theatre in Education program for three years. He has conducted many theatre workshops and performed in various colleges, institutions, universities and schools in India and abroad.

He has organized theatre workshops for children[ in schools and slums] and street theatre performances on different socio-political issues. He has directed more than 60 stage plays over two decades.

Charges:
Rs. 5000 + 18% GST (Per month)
