Tracing five decades of Indian modernist printmaking, Variable Registers brings together artists, histories, and techniques that shaped the evolution of the medium from the 1930s to the 1980s. Curated by Prima Kurien, the exhibition explores printmaking as a practice of collaboration, apprenticeship, and exchange, highlighting the many hands, institutions, and ideas that transformed it into one of the defining languages of modern Indian art.
