Triveni Kala Sangam presents Summer Kathak Workshop for Children
Mr. Sanjeet Gangani is an exceptionally talented Kathak artist hailing from the illustrious Jaipur Gharana. Immersed in an artistic milieu since childhood, he draws inspiration from his renowned family of artists spanning various disciplines.
As the son and devoted disciple of the celebrated Kathak Guru, Dancer, and Maestro, Pandit Rajendra Kumar Gangani, Sanjeet has honed his craft meticulously. Recognized as a Doordarshan-graded artist, he received his Kathak education through the esteemed National Institute of Kathak Dance (Kathak Kendra) and completed his diploma honours and post-diploma under the guidance of his father and guru.
In addition to his captivating performances, Sanjeet is dedicated to preserving and propagating this historical art form, a shared passion of his family. He presently teaches in Triveni Kala Sangam. A torchbearer of the Jaipur Gharana, Sanjeet Gangani is acclaimed for his flawless footwork, intricate spins, and powerful yet graceful movements, earning admiration from connoisseurs and critics worldwide.
Sanjeet's artistic versatility extends beyond dance; he possesses expertise in playing the Tabla and Pakhawaj, along with proficiency in Indian Classical Vocal Music. He has collaborated with eminent Kathak Gurus and Maestros, including Padmabhushan Kumudini Lakhiya and his father.
His illustrious career boasts remarkable performances at prestigious events such as Kathak Mohotsav, Kathak Utsav, Bodh Mohotsav, Literature Festival in Jaipur, Purvai Festival, Geeta Jayanti, Hampi Music and Dance Festival, Naval Utsav, Guru Ravi Jain Youth Festival, and Konark Festival, solidifying his status as an eminent Kathak exponent.
The workshop is open to all ( Age group: 6 - 18 years and above). No past experience in the subject is required
